I am sorry but for some reason I have been rushed through the last part of this learning society or maybe it is because I am slow. I am a disabled widower (60) with a Mentally Challenged son with a behavior problem (40) that requires 24/7 care. I though that I would have enough time to read everything my son has a job at Goodwill from 8:15 to 12:00 then his afternoon care provider is to pick him up and have community time until 4:00. But the afternoon provider has been bringing him home between 2:30 and 3:30. Goodwill has asked a behavior specialist to come in and draw up a plan to help with my son’s behavior and my son seats in on the meeting. During the meeting she stated that if Alan doesn’t want to go to work then he shouldn’t have to he is an adult.
Since I got the second book he has been staying home from Goodwill 4 or 5 days a week. I have only read half way through the Visions. The next thing I know I am requested to purchase the last book and to read and understand it before the first meeting. So I jumped to the last book next thing I know I am sent a letter with instructions to get online go to my site sign-up for the first meeting and I haven’t even read half of the first part.
I went ahead tonight and listen and read through the first video to a point this was good because I found that I have been playing at my jobs most of my life. At every one of my jobs except for the first one that was at KFC I have invented something or helped in the redesign of a product to improve it. Even after I had to go on disability I was still inventing things around the house. At the same time I went on disability my wife started getting sick and I started having to take care of both her and my son. I invented a sliding door closer so when my son went out back to play the sliding door would close on it on. Keeping the flies and dogs out side. I also built a battery operated riding lawn mower. In Nov. 1997 we found out that my wife had cancer the worse type. By the following Oct. she had passed. During that time I invented a lift to help her get out of bed into wheel chair the another one to help her get in to a seat in the tub. She was also having water build up under her legs and arms from sitting and lying so long. So I devised a vibrator for the arms of the chair she was sitting in as well as one for a leg support to help her keep her legs up, at Dr. Subjection, and vibrate at the same time. The doctor approved of me adding the vibrator.
Now answer me this why is it that I can manage to invent all those things and take care of both my wife and son but I cannot manage to read 3 books and take care of my son. I an tell you in part why when I was taking care of the 2 my son was gone most of the day but he wasn’t learning any thing he was just riding the bus and having a good time then.
As far as bo0ks are concerned I received another letter this saying that Dr. Wallace really wants me to have it. But the dead line is tomorrow to come up with $149.00, I am on disability only get paid once a month my credit is very poor and there is no one I can borrow from. So this will just have to pass.
I will go back to book 2 and start again. As far as my son taking my time that will remain. Partly do to cut backs in the amount of time he has to go out each week it is being cut from 240 hours a week to 120 starting in May.
Tell me is this what I should do?
