Values?

Hi,my question may not make the most sense but I’m having a little trouble of understanding what you mean by value creation.This spoken about many times and maybe I need to be pointed the right direction.Is there anyway I could get an example of value creation? Maybe tell me what Mr. Hamilton used as creating value when he started.Thank you..
