I did enjoy reading your Neothink books

We started working faster and safer than any other drilling company - we even beat Johnson & Johnson for the safest place to work.

Hello Mark,

My name is Lee Roy. I have always worked. When I was five years old, I cut grass with a mower that had no motor, as I pushed the mower the blade turned and cut the grass. I cut the grass not for money, but to help my grandparents. I went to work with my grandfather in the rice fields and worked as I was told to do. My other grandfather in the oil fields would take me with him but would not let me do anything, but I watched and learned.

When I was in the sixth grade, he was sick with pneumonia, and I was asked to take his place, and I did. I did what needed to be done without him telling me what to do for two weeks, then went back to school. When I graduated I went into the oil field work as a roustabout for six months, working at every position available to me to learn. I then worked with my grandfather for two years, until he retired. I then worked by myself for six more years. I then got married and went to work in the drilling department for the next 38 years.

During that time, people were getting hurt badly, and we were asked to find ways of stopping these accidents, or at least slow them down. On my days off I looked up information about how to have better work habits and working skills. It took a long time to finally see how to work correctly, seeing my work in a different light, but it started. I could not let the others know what or how I was stopping the accidents. I knew they would not believe me. I then would look at the work at hand, see the job and all the dangers, and change the work to stop or let everyone know the dangers to stop them.

After working with my men for a while I slowly showed them what I was doing and how to see the pictures I was seeing. From that time, I started showing the other supervisors how to do the same. That's where it started spreading to all the other rigs in our fleet. We then started working faster and safer than any other drilling company. We even beat Johnson & Johnson for the safest place to work. It was harder to teach the Mexican workers than I thought it would be, but I was getting through to some of them.

I then thought I was having a heart attack, but I was having trouble with a vertebra in my neck. I have not worked since then, but I used my sight to further my kids to a richer life than my wife or I have lived. My oldest daughter runs a facility in Houston, Texas; she is an occupational therapist. My son is a certified welder, with a degree in blueprints and reading X-ray welds. My youngest daughter wants to become a chef and have a chain of restaurants. I will help her with that as well.

I am drawing a disability check that I have paid for all my working days. I have not told you all I did, I would have to sit and think a while. I am trying to make myself and my wife better health-wise right now. I was not able to walk or ride in a car for a while, but it is getting better. I am also trying to be rid of our diabetes. I had to really dig for the information I now have, but it is not easy. Finding the natural herbs we are using is slow to work, but I am able to walk and ride in my truck, and the sugar in my blood is coming down.

My wife and I own two homes in my hometown, one in town and the other in the country. We grow our own vegetables and fruit. That is all I can think to tell you about ourselves. I did enjoy reading your Neothink books, but I had to stop to read on how to heal ourselves.
