I know I need to change way I interact with my wife and daughter. I don’t PLAY with them as much as I should. I often keep my wife out of things instead of letting her help me create value. We often end up in arguments or yelling at each other. My daughter yells back. I had a similar relationship with my parents when I was younger which is why I turned to computers to have some control in my life. I was always very shy when I was young but my daughter looks like she will be a very social person as she grows through the years. I want to encourage this in my daughter partly because I wish I was more social. I enjoy interacting with people but find it hard to initiate the interaction.<\/p>\n
I strive to better myself by forcing myself to be in situations where I have to interact with people. I have been a member of the church council, president of the home owners association and secretary of a charitable organizations board of directors. In addition to improving social skills, I believe that to stop learning is to stop living. I thirst for more knowledge and I attend professional conferences and educational opportunities. I recently received a Masters in Information and Communication Technologies. I have also earned certificates in Beginning Chinese, Geographic Information Systems and Project Management. I have taken all of these courses not to advance my career but to advance my knowledge to learn new things because I enjoy learning. I have envisioned myself as a teacher or professor. I once imagined what it would like to be a corporate trainer or mentor.<\/p>\n
In my part one integrations, I leaned towards starting a tour company. Learning about new places and cultures and then sharing that information with others will help integrate the issues I have brought up above. It will force me to interact with people while giving me a lead in to the conversations. It will allow me to learn and to teach. The best way to learn something is to teach it.<\/p>\n
