\"TheI received a letter from a friend, whom I’ll call Ms. Jude, who had recently become a member of the Neothink\u00ae Society and received her first multi-generational manuscript from Mark Hamilton.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>These writings are clearly designed to offer hope to the world; and yet, Ms. Jude was deeply concerned about all of the discussion on-line with regard to the Mayan Prophecy of the end of the world which is supposed to occur due to a catastrophic event believed to happen in our solar system in the year 2012.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>In response to her question, \u201cIs the Neothink\u00ae Society preparing for the 2012 catastrophe?,\u201d I wrote the following letter which I hope will offer a common sensed base for yourselves to operate from with regard to how to face, as Ms. Jude stated, \u201cThe end of our world!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>If you think about it, aside from leaving the planet there is not much a person can do on the physical plane to survive the end of the world.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s look at the current ideas on this subject.\u00a0 <\/span>Here was my letter to Ms. Jude.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Ms. Jude,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As you know these are uncertain times, and many people are, and have discussed various catastrophic events which may occur in our life times.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I believe that this heightened state of concern is due to the events of 911, as well as the on going violence in our world today, don’t you?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Anyway, there are many ideas about this date and a possible shift of the Earth on its axis.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>This is what the Mayan Calendar is supposed to predict for the year 2012.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I suppose if a large enough meteor hit our planet there could be a significant turn of events; are we prepared for such an event?\u00a0 <\/span>How can you prepare for the end of a world? \u00a0<\/span>I believe, instead of preparing for the end, we should be preparing for a new beginning.\u00a0 <\/span>I believe the best way to prepare for any event is through the advancement of knowledge and the development of specific technology which could possibly prevent such an event from occurring.\u00a0 <\/span>For instance, if we had greater financial support dedicated to accessing space exploration and the development of higher technologies, then these technologies could be used to knock a meteor away from our solar system for example.\u00a0 <\/span>That is one way we could be more prepared.\u00a0 <\/span>Instead of this common sense approach; our failed governmental policies and budgeting practices prefer to drop monies into the black hole spending of failed governmental program practices, and on the violence of supporting international wars.\u00a0 <\/span>Have you heard of the hammer that NASA paid $15,000.00 for as example?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>By the way, are our troops still in Iraq?<\/span><\/p>\n

It is always a GREAT idea to have an emergency preparedness policy to care for yourself and your loved ones here at home in the event of a catastrophic event.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>A two week supply of food and water is a standard for things like an earthquake which can disrupt food distribution and water supply for up to two weeks.\u00a0 <\/span>And, as we have seen for even greater events like the flooding of New Orleans; it would be wise to have an out of state contact to connect with for housing and\/or financial support.\u00a0 <\/span>If this is not possible, it is a good idea to have at least $1000.00 cash set aside as well as a credit card to be used for emergencies only!\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>You should contain your supplies and monies in a substantial emergency preparedness container (preferably plastic with a sealed lid) which would hold food, clothing, and emergency medical supplies, water purification (sweet water) tablets, a tent, a camp axe, camp shovel, folding saw, canned foods, water, and so on.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Also, having a supply of Vitamin D-3 so that you can take up to 5000 grams per day for immune support is a good idea during high stress situations when your immune system is likely to be compromised.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
