{"id":17984,"date":"2014-03-07T06:17:49","date_gmt":"2014-03-07T14:17:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.markhamilton-neothink-tvp.com\/?p=8491"},"modified":"2022-06-03T22:41:45","modified_gmt":"2022-06-03T22:41:45","slug":"free-market-economics-makes-no-attempt-to-manage-the-commons-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neothinksociety.com\/?p=17984","title":{"rendered":"Free market economics makes no attempt to manage the commons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Free market economics makes no attempt to manage the commons\u2013instead just leaving it up for grabs\u2013everyone grab theirs quickly before someone else beats them to it, until the commons is all gone.\u00a0 Some of the commons could be managed as a tourist attraction, as James Duke, PhD botanist, retired from the USDA, made a bundle writing and selling books about medicinal herbs, then put that money into turning a fair-sized portion of the Amazon river basin into a giant botanical garden to show off medicinal herbs native to the area to eco-tourists.\u00a0 Use of common air and water supplies for waste disposal does not lend itself well to eco-touism.\u00a0 I believe that excise taxes designed to capture external costs imposed by waste disposal on innocent bystanders would work better than either the non-tariff regulatory burden we have now or trying to ignore the problem.\u00a0 Back in the days of sparse population and a low-level of technology, it was possible to ignore waste disposal as negligible.\u00a0 Now, with higher population density and more advanced and dangerous technology with more toxic wastes\u2013we really need to do something about motivating efforts to clean up messes.<\/p>\n<p>As I write this, it is September 24, 2011 and I would like to share my story of the many blessings I\u2019ve received, through the philosophies of Neothink.\u00a0 I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mark Hamilton for extending an invitation to me.\u00a0 It is from this invitation that I\u2019ve been able to experience this beautiful planet we live in, through another perspective or new set of eyes and mind, so to speak. It is through this perspective that I have gained the knowledge to be able to understand more clearly, that I, Create My Own Reality\u2026\u2026. we all do.\u00a0 To think that we don\u2019t, would be, what they want you to believe.\u00a0 I now know, that prior teachings have left me disillusioned.\u00a0 Disillusioned to the fact that, the concepts were there, but the actions were not.\u00a0 I\u2019m a very observant person and could not continue to place myself in an environment that went contradictory to my feelings\u2026.\u00a0 I have now found the true brotherhood.\u00a0 People whose beliefs and more importantly the actions they take, are very real, true and honest!\u00a0 Not only for the chosen few, but open to all who resonate, with the message.\u00a0 Be it a different race, color, or creed.\u00a0 Beliefs and ACTIONS, with every human being in mind.\u00a0 Earl Nightingale says\u201d It\u2019s Never Too Late To Begin\u201d\u2026\u2026.
