America moved civilization from the rule of man to the rule of law. The monarch gave way to the Constitution, and a single will gave way to a written standard placed above any single will. That advance was real, and it was unfinished. The same country that began the shift can complete it, moving from the rule of flaw-filled man to the rule of flawless law by removing man from the making, the interpreting, and the executing of law. The instrument that completes the evolution is the Prime Law.
The Unfinished Advance
A written constitution placed law above any single will, yet left flaw-filled man in charge of making, reading, and enforcing it. The evolution stops halfway until man is removed from the law that governs man.
The Prime Law lifts a society into freedom no governed population has held before, and lifts its people toward wealth, health, and peace. It completes the long trend by removing the rule of man entirely, and prosperity reaches everyone, including the poor.
Completing that evolution requires taking the powers of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches out of the opinions and agendas of flaw-filled man and placing them under a flawless Prime Law.
Gather a hundred educated men and women and ask them the hard questions of law and politics, and the answers scatter into competing opinions and agendas. The U.S. Senate is the standing example. Once a person holds political power, surrounded by the trappings of power and wealth, the answers bend toward personal benefit and political clout.
Man is an easily influenced, easily corrupted creature. The law that governs man, meaning the law that protects man, must therefore be free of man.
America carried civilization from the rule of man to the rule of law; the Prime Law completes that evolution by removing flaw-filled man from the making, interpreting, and executing of the law entirely.
Reduced to Essence
The way to be free of man is to reduce law to its essence. At the fundamental nature of a thing there is no deeper layer to reach, and the opinions, agendas, illusions, dishonesties, and corruption, the full inventory of man's faults, lose their grip. The fundamental nature stands unchanged, unscathed, unconditional, and uncorrupted, plain for anyone to see and know. That is the nature of the Prime Law.
The purpose of human life is to prosper and live happily. The function of government is to provide the conditions that let individuals fulfill that purpose. The Prime Law guarantees those conditions by forbidding the use of initiatory force, fraud, or coercion by any person or group against any individual, property, or contract.
Article 1
No person, group of persons, or government shall initiate force, threat of force, or fraud against any individual's self, property, or contract.
Article 2
Force is morally and legally justified only for protection from those who violate Article 1.
Article 3
No exceptions shall exist for Articles 1 and 2.
The Prime Law is the fundamental, natural law of protection, and it is not open to amendment or change. Government by man rises and corrupts; the fundamental nature of protection does not.
Common Questions
What is the difference between the rule of man, the rule of law, and the rule of flawless law? Under the rule of man, a single will decides. Under the rule of law, a written standard is placed above any single will, the advance America made when the monarch gave way to the Constitution. The rule of flawless law removes man from the making, interpreting, and executing of law entirely, and that final stage is the Prime Law.
What is the Prime Law? The Prime Law is the fundamental, natural law of protection. It forbids the use of initiatory force, fraud, or coercion by any person or group against any individual, property, or contract. It is not open to amendment or change.
How is the Prime Law different from a constitution? A constitution places a written standard above any single will, but still leaves flaw-filled man making, reading, and enforcing it. The Prime Law reduces law to its fundamental nature so that opinions, agendas, and corruption lose their grip. It completes the evolution a constitution only began.
Why must the law that protects man be free of man? Man is an easily influenced, easily corrupted creature. Once a person holds political power, surrounded by its trappings, the answers bend toward personal benefit and political clout. A law that protects man cannot itself be subject to man's faults, so it must be reduced to an essence that stands unscathed by those faults.
What do the three Articles of the Prime Law establish? Article 1 forbids the initiation of force, threat of force, or fraud against any individual's self, property, or contract. Article 2 permits force only for protection against those who violate Article 1. Article 3 allows no exceptions to Articles 1 and 2. The no-exceptions clause is what keeps the law free of man's agendas.
Why is America positioned to complete this evolution? America already carried civilization from the rule of man to the rule of law. The same country that began the shift holds the founding logic of placing law above any single will, which makes it the natural place to finish the work by removing man from the law entirely.
