I think that the rule of man takes over when individuals feel threatened. The story of Cain and Abel is a lot about these things. I once called it the Law of Dominion. In fact you cannot have law unless you have three people. There needs to be a witness to the formation of rules otherwise Cain could just murder Abel yet he would never be a murderer because once Abel dies there is no witness to the crime. Unfortunately religion leads us astray because it is initiatory force forcing God into your consciousness. The real purpose of religion is to bind you to the government instead of teaching you the prime law that would set you free from government. T.A.F.
