Through history it is indeed the government’s that you speak, that have waged war amongst themselves (by coercing the will of their people) for their own tyrannical interests. The ambition and drive, that is said to have led minds to progress technologies and understandings, have been at the heart of warfare. Almost all innovations have stemmed from research behind the front lines, all the while innocent people are lost. Take for instance WWI and WWII, in one century our minds* have had the time to think (exponentially expanding our knowledge, in comparison to any jumps in the past 3000 years) while the leisurely class* fought and died. I believe however such progress could just as well be made in peace time. With greatly limited government, so as to restrict rise of monopolies in the market and to protect constitutional liberties namely that of our own United States… KMS
