Willingness to unthinkingly follow the tribe, is the problem. Yes, we are social animals and that’s good …but the extreme end of the spectrum of that social nature, is tribalism and that’s bad. It takes less effort to simply follow, than it does to become an independent thinker. This reflects the difference between the Prime Law and the Rule of Man.
